Sweetheart
Sweetheart was a punk band from Columbus, OH active between 2002 and 2006; or: four friends from Kent raised on house shows and inside jokes.
Thanks to a supportive local scene and a healthy touring community we were fortunate enough to lug our 8x10s through a lot of basements, bars and DIY spaces all over Ohio and across the US. Those shows were aggressive and physical but it was important to us that they created space for everyone.
In 2005 we loaded the Dodge van, traveled out west and recorded an album. In 2024 Expert Work Records has been kind enough to release that LP, a self-recorded EP and some kooky merch. The music is abrasive and guitar-driven. The lyrics are mostly about being a punk band from Columbus, OH.
